2. The Salar de Uyuni
Speaking of amazing landscapes, this is one of the most gorgeous and surreal places I have been on my travels around the world. It is an enormous salt flat in Southern Bolivia/Northern Chile that was formed when a prehistoric lake evaporated, and it is so big it can be seen from space. Take a 4×4 trip across the salt flat and the surrounding desert and you will find yourself in a never-ending landscape of flat white salt as far as the eye can see. On the trip you will also see the strange desert landscape with red and green lakes, pink flamingos, geysers, hot springs and strange rock formations.
