2. Limit Electronic Usage
We’re all addicted to our cellphones, but at least try to break the habit for your staycation. Limit electronic usage to an hour a day early in the morning or a few hours before bedtime. It may be tempting to check work emails, make phone calls, or surf the Internet, but doing so will only impose upon your relaxation time. Staring at a screen for too long causes eyestrain and fatigue and will take you out of the here and now.
