Clarity is an essential component to getting over a breakup in a healthy way. Are you a good breaker-upper? Do you have a history of bad breakups? A bad breaker-upper is someone who does not cut off communication with their ex when the relationship ends. At times, short-term communication is essential to divide items or activities, but really take a look at the interaction. Is it really needed or do you have an ulterior motive? Good breaker-uppers establish clear and strong boundaries after the split in order to move forward. Otherwise, you risk dissolving into a relationship without limits or expectations that feels undesirable and inconsistent.
