2. Set Yourself Limits
Grieving and mourning are the healthiest, most natural things you can do following a breakup, but even the best things become negative when taken to extremes of duration and intensity. Give yourself permission to express your breakup-related feelings during specific times of day or for a specific duration. After this, find ways to set aside your feelings to shift your focus and behaviors to something more productive and fulfilling. If you become too focused on the relationship, the unwanted feelings will begin to spread throughout your life and carry unwanted effects along the way.
