7. Bourbon Braised Short Ribs with Honey and Fig Mac and Cheese
We couldn’t resist this magnificently gourmet mac and cheese recipe. Seasoned short ribs are braised in a Dutch oven with the pan deglazed by bourbon, honey, and beef stock. The entire mixture is then transferred to the oven until the ribs are easily shred, about one hour total. For the cheese sauce, melted butter and flour are combined with cream, milk, chevre, figs or fig cheese, and Worcestershire sauce. Combine the sauce with cooked pasta and then transfer to the Dutch oven with the short ribs.
