6. Sweet Potato Gnocchi with Balsamic Sage Brown Butter
If you’ve got the time and patience to make your own sweet potato gnocchi, this is the recipe for you. The gnocchi dough consists of sweet and regular potatoes, egg, Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, salt and honey. To create the brown butter, it’s melted over medium heat with some sage leaves added. When the leaves crisp, they’re removed while the butter continues to cook and brown with shallots. The last touch is adding balsamic vinegar to the butter mixture. Garnish with the sage and, as with any pasta recipe, lots of yummy cheese.
