Decrease Stress, Increase Happiness
Stress, that awful gnawing feeling of frustration and hopelessness that invades our lives, often on a daily basis. Different parts of our lives can have different stressors, but the ways we react to stress are usually pretty similar.
Some people use escapism to deal with stress, some act out or get angry and some even ignore it until it’s close to killing them. However, none of these things are necessary if you take steps every day to change the way you react to stress and reduce the amount of stress in your life.
Regular exercise is good for managing all kinds of health issues, especially when it becomes a part of your daily life. While doctors recommend a minimum of 30 minutes or more per day, even 10 minutes of activity will allow your body to recover more quickly from stress.
While running, playing sports and fitness classes are all great ways to get your daily exercise, any physical activity is great if you’re starting small. Taking the stairs instead of an elevator, walking your dog, stretching, dancing around your house, or playing a Wii Fit style video game will all help you de-stress and feel better.
