Creating a Healthy Morning Routine
Do you grudgingly wake up each morning groggy and grumpy? Are you one to keep hitting snooze until you wake with a start and realize you’re going to be late for work?
Bad habits early in the morning can color your entire day and, if done consistently enough, your life. Starting your day off right with healthy foods, activities and mental clarity will keep you motivated and feeling good even through that mid-afternoon slump.
One of the best ways to start your day and prepare your mind is to practice meditating in the morning. Put on some relaxing music that will allow your mind to focus on the here and now, including your breathing.
Mindfulness puts you back in the driver’s seat of your body so you can recognize areas of tension within your body or emotional issues that may have been lingering beneath the surface.
