The snake plant, also known as mother-in-law’s tongue, is a great plant for filtering the air in your bathroom. This sharp-leafed plant thrives in low lights and is one of the best plants for filtering out formaldehyde. Formaldehyde is common in toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, bubble bath, toilet paper and cleaning products, and is a well-known carcinogen – so be sure to place one in every bathroom.
