As you enter your 30s, hopefully you feel like you are in the prime of your physical shape. If not, now is the time to start thinking about improving your health. There are several health conditions that you should start paying attention to as you approach your fourth decade.
1. Chronic Stress
As you enter your 30s, you are likely in a more demanding job and taking on other responsibilities including marriage, children and housing. The demands of adulthood can become overwhelming for some individuals. It is important to take an inventory of your stress level, and how you are dealing with your stress. Chronic stress is a serious condition that can negatively affect more than just your quality of life.
Chronic stress releases a steady supply of cortisol, which is the stress-related chemical in your body. Chronic high levels of cortisol are known to decrease fertility, negatively affect sleep, and decrease immune function. If you find yourself chronically stressed, it is time to decrease your commitments and incorporate stress-reducing activities into your life.
