6. Stability Ball
If you have an exercise ball taking up space in your house, dust it off and try using it to improve your flexibility. The ball provides a stable surface to move on/over/around and the mobility to achieve a deep stretch. Try sitting on a chair and roll the ball forward with your arms until you cannot move any farther. You will feel an excellent stretch in your back, arms, and shoulders. Now try laying on the ball with your back arching over it. You will get a great stretch in your back and chest. Next, sit on a chair and place your legs over the ball. You will feel a great stretch in the back of your legs. Hold the positions for 10-40 seconds and move slowly and smoothly between repetitions.
