5. Barre Classes
Barre classes are designed to achieve a full-body workout, concentrating on areas that women struggle with: hips, thighs, buttocks, abdominals and arms. Barre classes incorporate dance movements with a ballet bar, as well as principles of yoga, pilates and strength training. The movements are low-impact but high intensity. In most classes, a strength section is immediately followed by a stretching section of exercise in order to promote strong, long and lean muscles. The bar is utilized for stability in order to perform small, isometric movements and lengthening flexibility movements. By combining strength and flexibility, these classes create strength while sculpting envious dancers’ bodies!
