6. Thinning Hair

Reduced estrogen may contribute to hair loss or thinning hair. It is one of the more physically noticeable signs of menopause, and for many women this symptom is upsetting. Hair loss may be sudden or gradual. Reduced estrogen can also cause hair to become more brittle and dry.
