Couscous often gets categorized into the healthy category because people associate couscous with healthy grains such as quinoa. However, couscous is actually a pasta. It is typically made from refined white flour and has the same nutrition benefits of white pasta. Couscous is also high in carbohydrates, so must be eaten in moderation. If possible, choose a whole-wheat variety. Better yet, choose quinoa instead.
