After a workout, many athletes or weight lifters choose to have a protein drink for their recovery. While the theory behind a protein drink is fine (restore essential amino acids for muscle growth), many protein drinks are full of sugar and artificial flavors. Always read the nutrition information on your protein drinks. A cheap alternative for a post workout recovery is simply a nice cold glass of milk.
